TAKKUUK Global Tour
BICEP's immersive audio-visual installation TAKKUUK is touring the globe, bringing Indigenous Arctic stories to stages, festivals and cinemas worldwide. Exploring the lives, communities and challenges facing Indigenous artists of the Arctic Region, the installation was created in partnership with In Place of War as part of the EarthSonic programme.
The tour has already visited Ghent, Sicily, Amsterdam, Bristol, Dubai, Milan and Manchester, with upcoming dates including Brighton (May 2026) and Sisimiut, Greenland.
TAKKUUK is the work of BICEP (Andy Ferguson and Matthew McBriar), visual artist Zak Norman and filmmaker Charlie Miller, and features collaborations with Indigenous vocalists Katarina Barruk, Andachan, Sebastian Enequist, Tarrak, Nuija, Niilas and Silla. The music was recorded in 2024 by Detroit-based producer Matthew Dear during Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík.
